As the Halloween season approaches, the Edison Township Recreation Department is excited to announce its 12th annual Halloween House Decoration contest for township residents. This year's event will be held from October 24th to collect unused, unwanted or expired over-the-counter or prescribed drugs as part of Operation Take Back, sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration in conjunction with the Edison Police Department.

Residents are encouraged to decorate their homes and participate in this fun community event. Winners will be contacted by telephone during the first week of November and will receive prizes for the top three houses selected. To enter, residents must submit a photo of their decorated home along with contact information, full name, phone number, and address by emailing it to 'before 4:30 p.m.'

In addition to the Halloween contest, the Township Council is returning to in-person meetings starting tonight at 7 p.m. for its combined work session and regular meeting.
